1. About us
These terms apply to all training booked with Aquipe Limited ("Aquipe", "we", "us"), a New Zealand company. By booking a course, on aquipe.nz or by email, you agree to these terms. "You" means the business or person making the booking. "Attendee" means each technician attending.
2. Bookings
A booking is confirmed when payment is received and we send a confirmation email.
Scheduled courses are capped at 16 attendees. Seats are allocated in the order bookings are paid.
For multi-seat bookings, please send your attendees' names to training@aquipe.nz so we can prepare their certificates.
About one week before the course we email the venue address, start and finish times, parking details and what to bring.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. We issue a GST tax invoice for every booking.
Online payments are processed by Stripe. Aquipe never sees or stores your card details.
Blackfern Co-operative members can pay with Blackfern reward points by emailing training@aquipe.nz instead of using online checkout. The booking is confirmed once Blackfern approves the redemption.
We may change prices at any time, but a confirmed booking keeps the price you paid.
4. Substitutions and transfers
You can send a different attendee in place of a booked one at any time, at no cost. Just let us know their name.
You can transfer a booking to another course date at no cost up to 7 days before the course. Transfers within 7 days are not available.
5. Cancellations by you
Please cancel by emailing training@aquipe.nz. The cancellation date is the day we receive your email.
14 days or more before the course: full refund.
7 to 13 days before the course: full credit toward a future Aquipe course, valid for 12 months.
Less than 7 days before, or a no-show: no refund or credit (you can still send a substitute).
6. Changes or cancellations by Aquipe
We may cancel or reschedule a course if minimum numbers aren't reached, the trainer is unwell, or for reasons outside our control (such as severe weather or venue issues). If we do, you can choose a full refund or a free transfer to another date. We aren't responsible for other costs, such as travel or accommodation, so we recommend booking flexible travel.
7. On-site and bespoke training
On-site training at your premises is quoted separately. The quote sets out the price, dates, numbers and any travel costs, and these terms apply unless the quote says otherwise. You must provide a safe workspace, suitable vehicles and any equipment agreed in the quote. Cancellation terms for on-site training are as stated in your quote.
8. Health, safety and conduct
Attendees must follow the trainer's instructions and all venue safety rules, and wear the PPE listed in the pre-course email.
Some courses involve high-voltage systems and refrigerants. The trainer may stop an attendee from taking part in a practical exercise if it isn't safe, or ask them to leave if their behaviour puts others at risk. No refund applies in that case.
Please tell us before the course about anything we should know to keep an attendee safe.
9. Certificates and course content
Attendees who complete the full course receive an Aquipe certificate of completion. Aquipe certificates are not an NZQA qualification or a licence to carry out regulated work (for example, refrigerant handling requires its own approved certification).
Course notes and materials are for the attendee's own use and remain Aquipe's property. Please don't copy, share or record them without our permission.
10. Liability
If you're booking for business purposes, you agree the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, as allowed by section 43 of that Act. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that can't be excluded.
Our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or lost time.
Attendees use their own tools and vehicles at their own risk. We're not responsible for loss of or damage to personal property at the venue.
11. Privacy
We collect and use personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you book applies to that booking.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
